The typical screening equipment in corn processing: TCQY cylinder pre-cleaner, TQLZA vibrating screen and rotary flat sieve. The screening equipment in corn processing can affect screening effect due to sifter geometrical factor and sifter motion parameter.
First, sifter geometrical factor usually refers to the sieve pit shape, size, range, sifter width, length, flatness and dip angle.
a. Sieve pit shape, size and range:
We can choose the suitable sieve pit according to the cleaning requirement and the particle shape and features of the material and impurities. The sieve pit can be selected per screening curve or the practical production experience.
b. Sifter width and length:
It has direct influence on vibrating screen yield and screening efficiency. If unit sifter width keeps unchangeable flow, the processing capacity will become larger with the sifter width increasing. But sifter cannot be too wide. If not, the material may have uneven distribution along the width direction so as to affect screening efficiency. If the sifter length becomes longer, then the screening length will become longer so as to improve screening efficiency.
c. Sifter flatness will affect the flow condition on the sifter. If the sifter is not flat, then the material will have uneven distribution on the sifter so as to reduce screening efficiency.
d. The sifter dip angle decides the material flow speed and screening time on the sifter. If there the material has too much impurities, we can decrease the dip angle, vice versa.
e. The sieve pit should keep unobstructed so as to keep enough effective screening size. But we should notice that the sieve bottom part which supports batten may block the sieve pit and we can try to make the batten and the sieve plate keep 5mm above clearance. When the steel plate is too thick, it is difficult for the material to pass the sieve pit and the sieve pit is easily blocked.
Next, the motion parameter of the screen body mainly refers to the amplitude, vibration frequency and vibration angle, which decides the motion condition of the material on the sifter. When the material has high impurities content, we can increase the amplitude and the vibration angle and make the material get large motion track, and vice versa.
